Ruentex Development Recognized by Taipei City Government for Excellence in Green Procurement

Ruentex Development has long been committed to sustainable procurement and actively supports the government’s efforts to promote green consumption. In 2025, the Company’s green procurement exceeded NT$130 million, earning an invitation from the Department of Environmental Protection, Taipei City Government, to attend the 2025 Outstanding Green Procurement Enterprises and Organizations Awards Ceremony. The certificate of appreciation was presented by Mr. Hsu, Commissioner of the Department of Environmental Protection, in recognition of Ruentex Development’s concrete achievements in implementing green procurement and advancing sustainable development.

Ruentex Development integrates green procurement principles throughout the entire building development life cycle. Together with its subsidiaries, the Company actively develops innovative environmentally friendly building materials and plans to apply for building carbon footprint certification. In addition to RT-MIX, the team has developed carbon-reducing concrete, energy-saving insulation materials, and ultra-high performance concrete. Three RT-MIX products have obtained carbon footprint certification from the Low Carbon Building Industry Development Association.

Currently, Ruentex Development construction projects use RT-MIX series products manufactured by Ruentex Materials for cememt mortar, plastering materials, and lightweight partition grouting materials. Among these, soundproof flooring, cememt mortar, tile adhesives, and tile grouts have been recognized by the Ministry of the Interior and obtained Green Building Material Labels. Meanwhile cememt mortar, finish grey, and lightweight partition grouting materials have obtained carbon footprint certification from the Low Carbon Building Alliance.

In terms of supply chain management, Ruentex Development’s construction business primarily procures raw materials for construction projects. To support local development, suppliers of major bulk construction materials, including reinforcing steel and concrete, are all located in Taiwan, resulting in a local procurement rate of 99.99%.

In 2024, 66.18% of the reinforcing steel used was manufactured from recycled steel billets. In response to the growing trend toward low-carbon buildings, Ruentex Development considers not only the insulation, aesthetics, durability, and seismic resistance of building materials, but also gives priority to materials certified with Green Building Material Labels, Water Efficiency Label, Energy Label, and Green Marks, provided that regulatory requirements and reasonable cost considerations are met.

In 2024, Ruentex Development procured approximately 2,126 metric tons of RT-MIX low-carbon products developed by Ruentex Materials, including cememt mortar, adhesives, and grouts. Green procurement meeting the applicable criteria amounted to NT$9 million, including consolidated subsidiaries and Ruentex Engineering & Construction.
In 2025, total green procurement exceeded NT$130 million.
